Arkansas residents who use cell phones while driving may face punishment with the law if legislation proposed by ASU student Hilary Davidson is approved. Davidson, 21, lost her father, Paul Davidson, in July after a man texting while driving hit her father's vehicle.

The proposed law, Paul's law, was introduced Wednesday to State Legislature by Rep. Ray Kidd, D-Jonesboro, and would not prohibit the use of hands-free technology. It is proposed as a misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a $100 fine.
