10. Non-stop studying
This tends to surface in freshmen especially. While studying is good, and most students should really do it more, it is not a good idea to overdo it. If all of your time is spent studying or doing homework, you may want to consider getting some air and lightening up your work schedule a bit. Studies show that students think best when breaks are taken between working.
9. Too many tests
This goes for testing as well. Teachers really ought to have a testing schedule or something. It seems that the first (and last) tests of the semester always seem to take place simultaneously. If a student is overloaded with assignments or testing they may produce worse scores and grades than a student who had only one or two big tests or assignments per week.
8.Nagging parents
While we know that mom and dad love us and played a huge role in our college attendance, there can also be too much of a good thing. We do need a little pressure and encouragement from an authority that matters most to us. We do not, however, need so much commenting that we snap. Make sure your parents know how much is too much...in a loving way of course.
7. More than one job
Part of a lot of college students' descriptions is being poor. That's not always a bad thing. If working long hours or more than one job at a time is helping you get by, but if it's cutting into your schoolwork or adding more stress, you may need to give up a few of the things that are costing you so much. If it is rent or bills, it may be a better to move on-campus and pay for housing with financial aid that can be paid back after graduation.
6. Too much partying
Although this may also be a common college student description, it does not have to be accurate for us all. Partying too much can eventually affect our health, grades, work, sleep, etc. If you insist on making the party scene part of your weekly schedule, be smart about it. Get your work done first and make sure you are pairing it all with plenty of sleep and nutrition.
