Ozark- Ozark police officer Dustin Bradshaw was suspended yesterday while officials investigate the officer for tasing an 10-year-old girl.Nov. 11.

According to the Arkansas Democrat Gaszette, Ozark mayor Vernon McDaniel said Police Chief Jim Noggle suspended Bradshaw because he did not have the Taser's video camera attached to the weapon at the time he used it on the girl. Bradshaw was suspended with pay, effective immediately, McDaniel said.

Noggle said Tuesday that on Nov. 11, officer Dustin Bradshaw reported to the home when the girl's mother called the police because she could not get her to take a shower.

He found the girl lying on the floor screaming and crying.

Bradshaw then carried the girl into the living room and told her that she was going to jail.

It was reported that when Bradshaw attempted to get the girl into a patrol car she was being "combative."

She began violently kicking and struck Bradshaw in the groin with her legs and feet, according to the report.

Bradshaw then administered a "very, very brief" stun with the Taser and then handcuffed her and carried her to the patrol car, according to the police report.

The girl was taken to the Western Arkansas Youth Shelter in Cecil.
