Our View: Lost something?

Have you ever lost something on campus, like your keys or ASU ID card, and weren't sure if you left it in the library, the union or anywhere in between? Well, soon we may not have to run all around campus checking every lost and found. The Student Government Association has discussed a resolution to create a central Web site for lost and found items.

Thanksgiving break is almost here, and my first semester as a college student is winding down. I have taken some steps already that will prepare me for life after college, mostly living off campus. Despite the university's policies that all freshmen must live on campus, many do not.

Dear Editor, We at The Grove are concerned about the crime problem in the Jonesboro community and as a member of that community unfortunately we have had a few incidents on our campus. The Grove at Jonesboro is located less than ½ mile from Arkansas State University, and we want to share our concern and efforts toward insuring the safety of our students.


By the numbers

30 Millions of dollars the Somalian pirate economy has earned in this year alone from pirate ransoms. 80+ Ships attacked by pirates in the area along Africa's coast in 2008, according to the International Maritime Board. Over 30 successful hijackings have been reported.
