For the students nominated, the importance of being on homecoming court lies in the people they are representing, Garry Butler, a senior interdisciplinary studies major of North Little Rock, said.

A Little Rock man was charged in the weekend shooting on the ASU campus that sent one student to the hospital, university officials said.
Patrick Rice, 21, was arrested Saturday night on charges of second-degree battery and possession of firearms on school property, a Craighead County Detention Center, CCDC, official said.
