Hollywood celebrities may be placed on a pedestal but even they can’t get away with plagiarizing. Shia LaBeouf’s recent plagiarism of a graphic novel for his short film “” landed him all over the news. He took a step in the right direction when he publicly apologized on Twitter, but was sent right back to square one when it was discovered the apologies were also plagiarized.

It isn’t hard to attribute sources, especially in papers written during college. That doesn’t stop students from copying and pasting or looking at another student’s paper. According to, 125 Harvard students worked together on a take-home exam and were investigated for plagiarism in 2012.

A group of 34 A-State students seem to be on the route to honesty, though. The following survey was carried out through Facebook and Twitter to determine whether students had done their own copying and pasting.
