Officials at Texas Tech University School of Law have their eyes on a few A-State students. Three of the top four teams in the Southwestern Regional Moot Court Championship were teams from ASU, and as team coach Hans Hacker said, "They know who we are at Texas Tech; that much is certain.

There are close to 400 international students on campus, and most of these students have to travel to Memphis just to get the required food for their diets.

The International Scholars Committee is taking steps to resolve such issues facing international students.

More than 20 petitions are circulating campus to make ASU a smoke-free campus. Views on the petitions are mixed, and what really does a smoke-free campus mean?

Aside from the known health risks, a recent Centers for Disease Control study reported smoking-related illnesses cost the nation more than $157 billion annually.

As we look back, this semester has been one to remember. ASU officially became the Red Wolves. We watched our new mascot, Howl, run through the smoke and introduce himself at the first home football game.

We also watched the United States of America elect the first black president after perhaps the longest ever presidential campaign.

Can you tell someone is HIV positive by looking at them? What do they look like? How do they act?

Human immunodeficiency virus, the virus that causes AIDS, is on the rise. There is no cure for HIV or AIDS, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, but if detected early, treatment can keep the virus under control and the immune system healthy.

Since I have come to Arkansas State University, my attention has been constantly drawn to the Greek Community. What has really shocked me is the complete lack of creativity in deciding punishments for the different groups.
One fraternity was put on social probation when a member hit an individual on the head with a chair.

We all know that recycling is the right thing to do. An increasingly throwaway culture, we fill our landfills up with perfectly good raw materials, when the reality is we live on a planet with finite resources that cannot be wasted. If you've been thinking about incorporating recycling into your routine, the good news is it isn't all that difficult.
